As a not-for-profit early childhood education center, parent paid tuition covers the cost of salaries, insurance, food…in other words, operating costs. ECDC relies on fundraising efforts to raise money for classroom supplies and the “extras” that make ECDC a high-quality program. We have a variety of ways you can support ECDC throughout the year.

Dear ECDC Families and Friends:
On behalf of our dedicated team of ECDC teachers and staff, I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering support and collaboration. In October, we celebrated Campus Children’s Centers Week, which gave me the perfect opportunity to reflect on the significant role ECDC plays in this community.
ECDC’s mission is alive and well for many reasons. Here are just a few examples:
- ECDC embodies best practices in early childhood education and prioritizes the holistic development of young minds. Through carefully crafted educational programs, we foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. We provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children learn and grow, guided by the most comprehensive instructional approaches and child-centered philosophies.
- ECDC understands the challenges faced by families and individuals when balancing work, study, and childcare responsibilities. By offering a reliable and nurturing environment, ECDC ensures continuity for families, faculty, staff, and students alike. This support contributes to the overall success and well-being of our campus communities.
- ECDC enriches the community by facilitating intergenerational engagement and building stronger connections between young children, their families, and campus members. Mutually beneficial examples include research, volunteer, and employment opportunities for students and faculty at both Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s.
